Many changes impacting auditing and assurance work are coming soon. The impact for both internal and external audits, such as the known ISA changes to 315 and IIAs new directions on the Three Lines of Defense guidance announced in July 2020, will be significant. In addition, the increase in audit failures volume and frequency and in cases of internal investigations, public opinion will drive changes before more standards are rolled out. Many auditors know this, but many are still struggling to see how to apply emerging technologies while also finding time to run their businesses. In this session, John Colthart, Head of Growth for MindBridge, and a few of his CPA colleagues will confront these questions. They will pick up on some known changes, show how technologies are already ahead of the standards, and how this presents an opportunity to deliver more value for businesses.
