Join Karen Syrylo and Jim Wilhelm from the MACPA’s State Tax Committee as they lead this highly anticipated panel discussion with representatives from the Maryland Comptroller’s Office.
This session will cover the intent and purpose of Maryland’s entity-tax election for pass-through entities (PTEs) compared to the pre-existing PTE tax for nonresidents’ shares, and the provisions in the Maryland statute changes. The panel will also offer a comprehensive review of Maryland Form 511, “Pass-Through Entity Election Income Tax Return,” and related instructions as well as an in-depth discussion of the updated Administrative Release No. 6. Our CPAs will be joined by Deborah Gorman, Deputy Director of the Revenue Administration Division, and Krista Sermon, Manager, Legal Section, Revenue Administration Division.
The speakers plan to cover many of the major questions and topics that have been posted to the MACPA’s Tax Community.
