Same Day ACH Payments: The Impact to Audit & Compliance

After 40 years, the ACH Network now processes more than 24 billion payments annually. In September of 2016 a fundamental change to the ACH Network happened with the implementation of Same Day ACH and the addition of two new settlement windows. This change impacted all financial institutions and will definitely affect both audit testing and risk management for financial institutions. This session will highlight the Same Day ACH Rules changes and what issues should be reviewed for compliance and audit.

TRID, Escrow, Flood and UDAAP Compliance – Oh My!

As regulations continue to evolve, it can be difficult to keep current with all the nuances. For mortgage divisions, the TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure Rule (TRID) and escrow requirements affect the financing process at each milestone, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has a keen eye for a bank’s compliance with the Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP) principles. Learn about flood determinations, the importance of performing the determination prior to closing and flood insurance (if applicable prior, to closing). In this presentation, we will offer best practices and tips gained from clients to help you plan ahead for your audit process.
