Employee Benefit Plans are important to the hiring and retention of employees for any business. However, there are many aspects of plan operations that if not properly administered by plan sponsors can lead to errors and possible loss of exempt status. The Employee Benefit Plan Audit Conference equips CPAs who audit these Employee Benefit Plans with guidance on planning and performing more efficient and effective audits in accordance with the AICPA Audit and Accounting Guide and Department of Labor audit requirements. This year join us for an update from the Department of Labor and a critical session on the new auditing standards that will affect every 2021 ERISA audit; as well as sessions on definition of compensation, analytics and nondiscrimination testing.

Who Should Attend
This event is designed for the intermediate/advanced CPA performing plan audits.
Applying the proper definition of compensation in the administration of benefit plan provisions is critical to ERISA compliance. It is also where plan sponsors often make mistakes. Testing for the use of proper compensation is one of the most important step auditors should take in the audits of these plans. Join us to learn about the differences between the various definitions of compensation, how to effectively test for compliance with the definition, and how to assess the impact on the financial statements of any errors that you find.
