Materials To Communicate The Result Of Your System Peer Review “Pass” Report

The MACPA provides a special communication kit to announce the results of your System peer review. The kit contains a sample news release to announce the results of your review in local newspapers and a sample letter to clients, potential clients and other interested parties. If this press release or the sample letter to clients is used, you should make the report available to those who request it. Here’s how to make the best use of these materials.

Remember that under the Standards for Performing and Reporting on Peer Reviews, a firm may not publicize the results of its review until it has been advised that the report has been accepted by the MACPA Peer Review Committee (or other administering entity) as meeting the requirements of the program.

This press kit may be used only by those firms that have System Reviews that result in a Pass Report and is not provided to firms that have Engagement Reviews because an Engagement Review is limited to the specific engagements reviewed and does not extend to the accounting practice of a firm as a whole.
