Your Path to Become a CPA

Take the steps now to make it more possible to become a CPA in the future. As a CPA, you open the door to incredible career opportunities and to making a meaningful contribution to our society. Apply for scholarships January 1 – April 15 (annually).

Steps to Apply for a Scholarship

To apply for an MACPA scholarship, you will be redirected to ThisWayToCPA.com where our scholarship platform is housed.
In order to apply, you will need to login with your AICPA student member account information.
If you are not currently an AICPA student member, you will need to click on ‘Join the AICPA’ to become a member for FREE.
This will automatically secure your FREE MACPA student membership as well.
You will then receive a prompt to return to the application for completion.
Winners announced in June. Award amounts are based on need and student achievement.

Scholarships Provided by The MACPA Foundation

The MACPA Educational Foundation provides scholarships to students who are committed to pursuing a career as a CPA. To qualify for this scholarship, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Be a U.S. citizen/Lawful Permanent Resident.
Maryland resident attending a Maryland college or university.
Completed introductory Accounting courses by the time of the award.
Majoring in Accounting, Business, Finance or other related field and committed to obtaining CPA designation.
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program that will allow them to achieve the accounting concentration required to sit for the CPA Exam in Maryland.
Demonstrate commitment to pursuing a career as a CPA by joining MACPA as a student member.
