Clark is a Certified Public Accountant with over 30 years
of progressive accounting and finance experience. As a
Partner in the Northern Virginia/Greater Washington office, he
concentrates in providing consulting, accounting and auditing
services to government contractors, service and technology firms,
manufacturers and not-for-profit organizations.
His industry experience includes working at Price Waterhouse for
17 years (6 years as an accounting and auditing partner). As a
partner, he headed the Washington D.C. area entrepreneurial
group and coordinated its government contracting practice. He
served as an instructor in government contracting and was a
frequent speaker at government contracting seminars. Clark also
served as a controller for a Northern Virginia government
contractor, where he oversaw all internal and external reporting
requirements. Prior to joining Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, he was a
founding principal of the accounting and business consulting firm
Offutt Childers & Putman, P.C.
A current member of the Firm’s Executive Board, Clark has
extensive experience working with government contracting,
engineering, professional services and technology firms. He has
participated in a broad range of consulting projects in the areas
of planning and budgeting, financing, allowability and allocation
of costs, financial and accounting procedures, accounting
systems, incentive compensation and employee benefit plans and
acquisitions and divestitures.
His years of experience encompass a broad corporate operations
perspective, particularly in all aspects of corporate infrastructure
development. He currently serves as executive director for the
National Capital Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
Clark currently speaks on government contracting, corporate growth
and incentive compensation matters. He received a Bachelor of
Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He
also received a Bachelor of Commercial Science from Benjamin
Franklin University in Washington, D.C. He is a Certified Public
Accountant in Virginia. Clark is currently a member of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Association
for Corporate Growth, the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce,
the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) and
the Northern Virginia Chapter of VSCPA.
