Peter B. Bell, CPA, LLC

Peter B. Bell, CPA, CGFM Individual Practitioner/Washington, DC Peter Bell currently heads his own consulting and training practice providing support for the audit and financial reporting needs of the affordable housing industry. In October 2005, he retired from the Federal Government after 35 years of experience as an auditor and financial manager with three different federal agencies--most recently as the Director of the Financial Assessment Subsystem for the Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Peter is a frequent trainer and discussion leader for numerous groups and State Societies and has appeared in several AICPA continuing professional education videos related to governmental accounting and auditing. He has developed comprehensive training programs to help the affordable housing industry understand HUD's compliance and reporting requirements, as well as its assessment process. Peter has a graduate degree in Public Administration from the George Washington University and a degree in Accounting from Mount St. Mary's College. He is a member of the AICPA, the Greater Washington Society of CPAs and the Association of Government Accountants. He is currently a member of the Planning Committee for the AICPA's Governmental and Not-for-Profit Training Conference.
