David W. Cardwell Sr.

1980, David Cardwell, Sr. started with Group Benefit Services, Inc. (GBS), specializing in the Trade Association market. First task was to introduce Section 125 (Cafeteria Plans) to the Maryland market.
In 1984, 85, 86 as sales manger, were instrumental in making GBS one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the country. According to INC 500 Magazine.
1989 started Cardwell Associates as an Employee Benefits Consultant in Maryland.
1997, Cardwell Associates was contracted by AXA Advisors to train and pilot their Baltimore office in the area of employee benefits for their 100 Financial Advisors.
2000 Cardwell Associates moved to Towson, MD to expand services in Human Resources and Financial Services.
2002 started Corporate Resource Management (CRM). Formalizing the vision of helping small to medium size companies find resources, focus on their core business and invest in their most valuable asset, "employees".
2004 Started GBS HR & Benefit Solutions. Responsible for pioneering "Consumer Driven Healthcare Plans" for the Mid-Atlantic region. (HSA, HRA, FSA) His focus is on education of new tax law changes and how they affect employee benefits. His target audiences are accountants, banks, financial advisors and businesses. The goal is to build products around the new changes so that companies and their employees can benefit from them.
