Description:

In an all-day hands-on computer lab, this refresher course covers Excel Worksheet features in a fast paced format to benefit beginner through intermediate level users. New enhancements in Excel 2003 will be covered. Participants will learn how to save time by using many quick tips that apply to all versions of Excel.

  • Complete the day having designed and created a variety of worksheets
  • Master data entry, text entry and formula building techniques
  • Compare relative and absolute formula references
  • Learn to save time with Excel keyboard shortcuts and toolbar tools
  • Incorporate a simple bar graph and pie chart into an Excel file
  • Understand formatting techniques to enhance the presentation of worksheet data
  • Understand time-saving printing features for single or multiple page worksheets
  • Experience the new help features and research tools in Excel

    • Learn proven single and multiple worksheet design techniques
    • Enter text, values, and formulas in worksheets
    • Create a variety of formulas and functions
    • Create relative and absolute formula references
    • Move and copy data by using shortcut menus, mouse pointer shapes and autofill tips
    • Restructure worksheets to accommodate new data, columns, and rows
    • Use time-saving data entry techniques
    • Use time-saving toolbar buttons
    • Use time-saving keyboard shortcuts
    • Change the appearance of worksheet data by using business formatting techniques
    • Use border line combinations and features for separating lines for financial reports
    • Use spell checking
    • Use a variety of print options for single page and multiple page worksheets
    • Learn multiple worksheet features
    • Incorporate Excel data into a simple bar and pie chart using Chart Wizard
    • Evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of paste, paste as picture and paste link of Excel data and charts to Word or PowerPoint
    • Use research and help features new in Excel 2003
