TOWNHALL SERIES: Professional issues updates (8 hours annually)

Presented twice yearly as part of our series of town hall meetings, these free updates qualify for 4 hours of CPE each, for a total of 8 hours each year. 


Webcasts and Second Life seminars (14 hours annually)

The MACPA’s presence in Second Life – a 3D virtual world online – allows us to offer seminars for CPE at no cost to participants.

We are in the process of planning future Second Life sessions. Check back often for updates.

We also offer some great ways to save money on our regular CPE programs.

  • Early Bird Discount: Those who register for a seminar 30 days beforehand will receive a discount.
  • Chapter and committee programs - statewide and less than $25 per credit hour. Get list here.
  • Member rate for your referrals: As an MACPA member, you and your non-CPA staff save $100 per each day of instruction using the "member rate." It's a great benefit! See the registration form for requirements.
  • AICPA discount: If you are a member of the AICPA, you are entitled to a $30 discount on MACPA courses that are produced by AICPA. Any course with an event code ending in "A" (i.e. 0111220A) qualifies for this discount. If you are a member of AICPA, you must indicate your affiliation at the time of your online registration. A check-off box is provided on the page where you set up your registration information. You are also asked to provide your AICPA membership number.

CPA Day in Annapolis (2 hours annually)

This annual event brings CPAs and legislators together to discuss issues that impact the profession. It includes an update on regulatory, legislative and tax issues; the update qualifies for two hours of CPE. Best of all, members can attend CPA Day at no cost!
