CPA sought as board member/ treasurer for historical society

The Historical Society of Baltimore County (HSBC) is seeking the services of a CPA as a volunteer board member for the period June 2009 to May 2012. Our 300-member organization was founded 50 years ago and is the only 501(c)(3) devoted to interpreting the history of Baltimore County in all of its rich diversity. With an annual budget approaching nearly $75K, we currently employ one part-time employee. HSBC is run mainly by volunteers. In your position as board member, you will also fulfill the position of HSBC treasurer. We meet as a full board on the second Tuesday of each month. As treasurer, you will also be a member of the HSBC Executive Committee. The Executive Committee meets once per month as well, usually two weeks before the meeting of the full board. While an interest in history will certainly be a welcome contribution, we are primarily seeking your services to ensure the responsible financial operation of the Historical Society. For details, contact (410) 666-1878 or gjohnston@stevenson.edu.
