Community Clinic seeks finance volunteers

Community Clinic, Inc., is a not-for-profit health care organization serving the uninsured and underinsured in two counties in Maryland. Our board is looking for volunteer members with a finance background to serve on the Finance Committee, which oversees the work of CCI's comptroller to manage a budget that is projected to be $8 million in fiscal year 2009. CCI has three primary health care locations, six WIC locations and several revenue streams. The organization participates in a Medicaid Managed Care Organization. In fiscal 2009, we expect to serve 13,000 health center patients with 30,000 encounters and 30,000 WIC recipients. As the economy worsens, demand for our services continues to grow.
