BLI, Shapiro Negotiations Institute form corporate training partnership

BALTIMORE, Oct. 24, 2008 — The Business Learning Institute (BLI) and the Shapiro Negotiations Institute (SNI) have developed a partnership whereby each will leverage their combined expertise, distribution, and intellectual property to better serve their clients.

BLI’s offers its clients over 150 programs in the areas of: Strategic Management; Business Management; Performance Management/Measures; Leadership Development; and Communication Skills.  BLI has presented its program to clients such as MicroSoft, Black and Decker, and hundreds of accounting firms throughout the United States.

SNI specializes in the delivery of negotiation and influence training and consulting.  SNI has presented its negotiations programs to tens of thousands of people on 6 six continents.  Its clients include: General Motors, Verizon, Bank of America, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

“Since we focus on negotiations and influencing skills, many of our customers would ask us what additional topics and skills we could provide,” said Mark Jankowski, President of SNI. “We have spent the last 12 months searching for a partner with excellent content as well as a commitment to making a difference in people’s lives.  BLI is that partner.”

Mr. Jankowski added, “We were particularly impressed with BLI’s experience in Distance-Based Learning.  They have established one of the first conference/training centers within Second Life, and have been recognized by Chief Learning Officer Magazine as a pioneer in this area.  We look forward to working with BLI in establishing other distance learning initiatives in the areas of podcasts, webinars, and streaming video.”

“As we continue to expand into the corporate marketplace, we were looking for a partner with this highest level of expertise in the realm of negotiations and influence training,” said Pamela Devine, Director of Business Development for BLI.  “In these increasingly challenging times, our clients recognize the need for improved negotiation skills, and SNI fills that need.”

“We have used SNI to train our staff,” added Ms. Devine, “and the results were immediate and significant.  We have received rave reviews whenever we have engaged them to provide programs for our clients.  We have ‘kicked the tires’ and are excited about the opportunities this partnership presents to us.”
