- Notice: New regulations for Maryland CPE
- Maryland's State Board of Public Accountancy has enacted final regulations for continuing professional education. These regulations complete the most sweeping modernization of CPE in the last 25 years. Self-study CPE is reflected in these new regulations.
- How does this change self-study CPE?
- CPE = CPE: This provision removes the distinction and limitations formerly imposed on interactive and self-study programs, making them equal to group study (classroom). This has the effect of counting them as equal and subject to the 76-hour carryover.
- Two effective dates:
-- May 18, 2009 for previously named "interactive" self-study.
-- Oct. 10, 2009 for previously named "regular self-study."
