We need your help to build relationships with legislators who are sensitive to issues affecting CPAs, businesses and the economy. Please take time now to join MACPA's Key Person Program by completing the confidential questionnaire below.
As a state and / or federal key person, you can play a vital role in advancing CPA and business interests in the legislative arena. You will become part of a well-connected legislative team that includes the MACPA's Executive Committee, Board of Directors, CPA Committee on Political Action, State Legislation Committee, executive director and professional lobbyists.
While you don't need personal friends in the legislature to be an effective member of the legislative network, you should possess the desire to see that the MACPA's and CPAs' voices are heard in Annapolis and across the country. With a few letters, phones calls and other contact with legislators from your voting districts, you can significantly impact decisions that affect our profession.
The MACPA provides all the tools you need to be a productive member of the legislative network, including legislative alerts, sample letters, phone scripts and staff support.
It's our responsibility to let legislators know where we stand on issues important to CPAs. If we don't, no one else will.
