Our mission

The mission of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants is to:

protect and further the interests of our members;
enhance the image of certified public accountants;
enable our members to conform to high standards of professional service;
provide the necessary resources for members to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.

As a result of research, member input and experience, a three- to five-year plan has been developed by the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, with the executive director to ensure the objective of achievement of the mission statement's tenets.

Specific goals are identified each year. Volunteers, with staff, pursue activities consistent with achievement of the goals. All prospective activities are evaluated relative to goal achievement. Serving members is the critical consideration when determining all activities.

Leaders establish ways in which to monitor progress and be accessible for clarification of and assistance in attaining the objectives.

It is imperative that all fundamental groups pursue those activities that position the MACPA as the premier CPA professional association in Maryland, fulfilling members' needs and promoting the profession to all public audiences.
