Advertising instructions
ARTWORK WILL BE PRINTED AS SUPPLIED BY ADVERTISER. The MACPA is not responsible for the reproduction of artwork or ads that do not meet the criteria specified in this agreement. If adjustments to artwork or ads is required to fit the specifications of this publication, the advertiser will be responsible for making those adjustments.
All ads, with the exception of the back cover (C4), will be printed in two PMS colors. Please contact MACPA for specifications before developing artwork.
No bleeds on ads (exception: C4)
Outside back cover (C4) printed in four-color (CYMK). No artwork saved as RGB will be accepted. Bleeds okay on left, right and top only.
- Printing process: Web offset, saddle stitched binding.
- Special position only guaranteed for covers 2, 3 and 4.
- Photos and illustrations must be at a minimum of 300 dpi. Recommended line art is 1,200 dpi.
Acceptable media formats and requirements
- High resolution PDF, eps or tif
- Camera-ready artwork emailed or sent on CD ROM
Acceptable file formats: InDesign, Adobe PDF (fonts embedded, optimized fonts), Adobe Illustrator EPS or TIF. Ads will not be accepted in other programs such as Microsoft Word.
If supplying a disk, all artwork and fonts must be included.
Camera-ready copy or negatives (right reading emulsion side down). If screens are to be included in ad, negatives to be furnished by advertiser.
Advertiser's responsibility
Advertisers and their agencies assume liability for all content of advertisements printed and assume responsibility for any claims therefrom against the publisher. Advertising agencies and advertisers agree that the publisher shall be under no liability by reason of error or omission. Publisher reserves the right to limit amount of advertising and to reject advertising that exceeds page limitation. Advertising must be related to products or services of interest to CPAs in their role as professionals. Publisher may reject advertising deemed inappropriate for its audience or which may conflict with the mission and goals of the association. Advertisements are accepted and published by the publisher upon the representation that the agency and/or advertiser is authorized to publish the entire contents and subject matter thereof. In consideration of the publisher's acceptance of such advertisements for publication, the agency and/or advertiser will indemnify and save the publisher harmless from and against any loss or expense resulting from claims or suits based upon the contents or subject matter of such advertisements, including, without limitation, claims or suits for defamation, libel, violation of right of privacy, plagiarism and copyright infringement. Publisher reserves the right to include the words "paid advertisement" with any copy resembling editorial matter.
Billing terms
All advertising is invoiced upon issuance of publication. All invoices are due and payable within 30 days after receipt. Checks should be made payable to:

Publisher reserves the right to change advertising rates at any time. Advertisers on contract will not be affected by rate changes for the duration of that contract. Multiple issue rates are honored for only those issues ordered in the contract. An advertiser who decides to advertise beyond the issues outlined in the original contract must complete a new contract and will receive the appropriate rate. One tearsheet is sent to the advertiser or agency to which the invoice is mailed unless more are requested. Complete issues are not mailed.
Cancellations
All contracts and camera-ready copy must be received on or before the closing date. Cancellations must be received in writing on or before closing date.
