Want to give something back to the community while enhancing the image of CPAs?
Become a volunteer speaker.
Each year, The Maryland Association of CPAs receives requests from schools, colleges, civic groups and trade / professional organizations seeking CPA volunteers to address assemblies, meetings or special events. Popular topics include, but are not limited to:
- careers in accounting;
- tips on taking the CPA exam;
- choosing and using a CPA;
- tax planning for the New Year;
- starting a business;
- saving for children's education;
- financial and estate planning.
These presentations provide the opportunity to help the public understand difficult financial and business issues, give students a bird's-eye view of the CPA profession, and allow you a visible presence in your community. You'll be releasing valuable information and marketing your services at the same time.
For more information or to become a speaker, please contact the MACPA's public relations manager, at (410) 296-6250, (800) 782-2036, or pubrel@macpa.org
